WE USE THE NHS WALES 'MY HEALTH ONLINE' FOR REPEAT PRESCRIPTION ORDERING AND GP APPOINTMENT BOOKING. PLEASE CALL INTO THE SURGERY TO REGISTER AND OBTAIN A PASSWORD AND THEN USE THIS LINK: https://www.myhealthonline-emisweb.wales.nhs.uk/
Appointments can also be made by telephoning (from 8am) or calling in (from 8.30am) at the surgery during surgery opening hours. We will always try to offer you an appointment to suit, however we do ask you to book appointments as far in advance as possible. Parents are asked to accompany children under 16 years of age to the surgery.
If you have hearing difficulties we would be happy to receive your appointment request by fax on 01600 772634.
If you need to be seen urgently we offer a Sit and Wait clinic each weekday morning; please arrive between 8:30am and 9:30am. You will be seen by the Duty Doctor or Nurse Practitioner in turn.
We do not see patients with dental problems/pain. You will need to see your dentist to receive treatment. If you do not have a dentist please visit our Dental Problems page for details on how to access a Dentist.
If you require urgent medical attention please telephone the surgery and be prepared to give the member of staff details of your symptoms. A clinician will return your call as soon as possible. If you are experiencing dental pain, please visit our Dental Problems page for details on how to access an emergency appointment with a dentist. If you are experiencing eye problems, in the first instance please contact a Monmouth Optician, who has superior equipment and facilities to treat acute conditions.
Sick children will be seen as soon as possible if brought to the surgery and this will usually be sooner than a home visit. If you are in any doubt about bringing your child out, please telephone the surgery first and the doctor can advise.
Similar to pre-bookable appointments, we also offer pre-bookable telephone appointments, which may or may not avoid the necessity to attend the surgery. To request a telephone appointment with a doctor or nurse, please telephone the surgery and request that a clinician calls you. You will be given a day and approximate time of when you might expect the return call (usually within 3 days). You may leave another telephone number where you can be contacted if you are not at home.
In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Our practice nurses are qualified to deal with many conditions and you may be seen more quickly. Our nurses also offer pre-bookable telephone consultations.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
